Follow the steps below to configure ControlD DNS on your Nintendo Switch. Keep in mind that it only supports legacy DNS.
Navigate to the console Settings from the home screen.
Open the Internet section and then select Internet settings.
From here, choose the Wi-Fi network that you are using on the Switch.
Select the Change Settings option.
Scroll down and select the DNS Settings.
Choose the Manual option.
The Switch lets you set a Primary and a Secondary DNS. Select the Primary DNS option as that is the only one we'll configure.
Now you can input the ControlD DNS IP. If you're configuring our free DNS resolvers, you can use one of these:
If you are configuring a custom DNS resolver, you can find your custom DNS IP in the My Account section:
Enter the DNS IP you will use and press OK.
Finally, press the Save button to finish the setup.
After the configuration is saved, you are done! You're now using ControlD on your console.
