Follow the steps below to configure a ControlD resolver on your Samsung Smart TV. Keep in mind that the Samsung TVs only support legacy DNS.
Press the Home button on your remote and navigate to the Settings which will be all the way on the left.
Scroll to the General section on the left and then open the Network settings.
Select Network Status.
Now you will see a screen similar to the one below. Open the IP Settings from this screen.
Inside the IP Settings, scroll down to the DNS setting. Select it and choose the Enter Manually option.
Finally you can input the ControlD DNS IP. If you're configuring our free DNS resolvers, you can use one of these:
If you are configuring a custom DNS resolver, you can find your custom DNS IP in the My Account section:
Enter the DNS IP you will use and press OK.
Press OK again in the IP Settings screen and your TV will reconnect to the internet with the new DNS IP.
Once you see that your TV is connected to the internet on the Network Status screen, you are using ControlD!
Restart your TV if prompted to start using the new DNS resolver.
