Follow the steps below to configure a ControlD resolver on your LG TV. Keep in mind that the LG TVs only support legacy DNS.
Press the Home button on your remote and navigate to the Settings on the home screen. You'll find this option in the top-right or bottom-right corner.
Select All Settings.
Select the Network section on the left followed by either the Wired or Wi-Fi Connection, whichever one is Connected to Internet.
This is where you will see the DNS that is configured. Press the EDIT button at the bottom to change it.
Uncheck the Set Automatically option so that you can edit the fields.
Finally you can input the ControlD DNS IP. If you're configuring our free DNS resolvers, you can use one of these:
If you are configuring a custom DNS resolver, you can find your custom DNS IP in the My Account section:
Enter the DNS IP you will use and press Connect.
The TV will now reconnect to the internet. You will see 4 bubbles at the top, once they're all green and you see "Connected to Internet", you're all done! ControlD has been configured on the device.
Restart your TV if prompted to start using the new DNS resolver.
